Tauba Green, who was interviewed by the author of the article below, was a friend of Jupp and Aenne. Tauba and Jupp wrote letters when he was interned in Australia, and they most certainly met while he stayed in London, before and after the internment. It even looks as though both Jupp and Tauba lived in Walter Fliess’ house on 33 Green Lane in Hendon at one point for she moved to 33 Green Lane while Jupp was waiting in Tatura for his transport back to England. Jupp was offered a job as a cook in the restaurant that Walter and his wife Jenny ran in London’s West End – “The Vega” – while still in Australia, which leads us to believe that after returning to England, he first lived in 33 Green Lane and worked for Walter and Jenny. Walter Fliess bought the house there for his family and his political friends (and more often than not employees at the Vega in one form or another).
Tauba’s husband George was a co-founder of the Socialist Vanguard Group that seemed to have been the British version of the ISK. Below a link to the article about the SVG.
